About Lamar County
Lamar County is located in the Northeast of Texas, on the Oklahoma border. Beginning with the Caddo Indians, this part of Texas has remained largely agricultural. Paris is the county seat and has its own Eiffel Tower with a Texas twist – a red cowboy hat perched on the top. Lamar County gets its name from Mirabeau Bonaparte Lamar, the fourth president of the Republic of Texas.
At one point, the county was a major railway hub, connecting Texas with the rest of the United States. Several communities such as Blossom and Arthur City grew up around the rail lines. Even though the trains are no longer running, the Santa Fe-Frisco Depot is a historic landmark and museum that you can visit to learn more about the county’s history.
Cities in Lamar County include:
- Arthur City
- Blossom
- Brookston
- Chicota
- Deport
- Paris
- Pattonville
- Petty
- Powderly

OUR MISSION
Providing a Better Quality of Life for Lamar County Residents
Living with an autoimmune inflammatory condition can be difficult to manage, not only because the symptoms can be physically challenging but also because of the mental implications. Autoimmune disorders may affect emotions and cognition, leading to anxiety or depression, especially if previous treatments have failed in the past.
The debilitating pain has likely significantly decreased your quality of life. Fortunately, our research has led to a vast array of treatments for these conditions. But we still have a long ways to go, and you can help us.
ARH Research and You
If you are living with an autoimmune inflammatory condition, ARH Research would like to meet you. We are recruiting volunteers to participate in our clinical trials, and you may be eligible.
Not only will you have access to treatments not available anywhere else, but you can also be sure that you will always be looked after, cared for, and protected throughout the trial.
Lead by Dr. Tamar F. Brionez, our team has decades of experience researching and treating various autoimmune diseases, including identifying triggers and helping manage conditions.
